on the road....

so the last few weeks I ve been on the road quite a bit. I ve been to the Roxy Shoot in Gerlos then to the Roxy Snow Pro in Saalbach and after that I drove to Chamonix for a shooting for the French ELLE magazin.
I was worried about my knee drove back to munich to get it checked.... luckily its all good and I can completly focuse on training for the Nine Queens end of march. I am so looking forward to be part of it this year.
Then I drove back again to Chamonix for a product shoot for Roxy. Its been really good times in Chamonix the last couple of days. I am stoked to give feedback on products and colours... I really love playing with design and colours.

today I am having a day off after 3 days of shooting with the Roxy girls Aline Bock and Margot Rozies! We had 3 awesome days in higher alpine areas! With a little hiking effort we found really good snow conditions and we had a good time over the clouds on the sunny side :-)
looking forward to another week of shooting with even more Roxy Girls!!!

emotional days...

its been emotional days the last two weeks. I am really sad Sarah passed away last thursday! She was my inspiration for so many years! When I met her at my first X Games in Tignes we shared a room and I met the most amazing and charming girl! Rest in peace Sarah! My thoughts are with you and your husband and your whole family and close friends.
I ride for you Sarah!!

and its been an incredible winter so far! Its unbelievable how much snow we get all the time... Yesterday we had half a meter in downtown Innsbruck! We had to leave our house already with chains on the car wheels. That means Pow Pow Pow. I had a run like in a dream or like it must be in heaven for Sarah now(maybe its all perfect for her now ?:-) ) No tracks, steep forest and me riding down with speed... but in slow motion kind off!

today I had a really fun day at the Kaunertal Gletscher. I am back on my skis. It was the 4th day today and I am feeling good. I am on my old Giant Slalom Skis and its really fun to make proper turns and concentrate on my skiing technique. And on the other side its a good training to get the legs strong.
I ve been training a lot the last two weeks and I can already feel how much its worth it to train. Can't wait until the snow will finally come and for some pow and park shredding soooon!For now its still training, training , training...:-)

ok so I am back in Innsbruck now and the season has already started here. I ve been skiing two days already and the knee is feeling ok. Well I take it really easy just cruising on the slopes :-)
But I have really good memories when I look back to the last 6 weeks which I spent at the beach with Aline Bock. Its been really amazing and I was really stoked I was able to surf proper with my knee at the end of the trip! Because I love surfing and the ocean !

ok here is another blogpost. Its about my last view weeks.
I am able now to train my legs since almost 3 weeks and it feels good to get some legs back. Its getting better every week almost from training to training but there are things or exercices which keeps you on the bottom and makes you recognize that there is still a little way to go to be 100% back ....

Well otherwise I was enjoying the summer in Innsbruck. I hiked quite a lot in my backyard up to the Seegrube. I went to different lakes and had nice bbq's on our new balcony.

Last week I also finished 3 paintings with pictures of my travels to Morocco and India.

hey everybody,
I know its been a while since my last blog post. Well, here we go.
The knee surgery went well and right now my knee got almost all the movement back. Means...I am allowed to start training weights with my legs again next week. Wuhu!
I ve been training my upper body and my core stability a lot the last weeks to get ready for the legs and not to forget for my paddle power :-). Besides training I was getting creative.
I was playing around with photos I took with my Lomo cam and bought some cheap H and M men shirts to print them on.
And I did some paintings including photos.
Check out my latest arty projects. I love it its fun.

Rehab

so its a rainy day today and I managed to finish my little edit from my rehab. I was doing rehab 3 times a week over the last 3 month and as it was such a big injury my knee didn't really start bending and moving as it should so I got another surgery last wednesday to get out the scar tissue. So now I should be able to bend it properly soon and hopefully start training as soon as possible. I have another 8 weeks where I can't train with weights just get it moving really. And another 3 or 4 month without sports.
But I am really motivated to get it good again and I try to be as patient as i have to be and looking forward to a summer in Innsbruck and in september the ocean again.... wuhuu!

I had a pretty boring day. As my knee was not good today and I decide to do nothing really I decided to finally finish my fotobook from our trip to India with Caja Schöpf. I really got into it again and I am again really thankful for that experience. thanks again to Caja and especially Fiat for making it possible.

inspired by Kassia Meador I took some of the India shots and printed them out with a laser printer. My mum told me that technique. You can take the shot printed out and transfer it with chemical liguid onto another paper... this is what came out of it with changing it a little with colour.
I took the photo in a little little street in old delhi... a crazy, loud, beautiful, emotional and I don't know what else.... city!
India is just crazy! :-)

Nine Queens is coming up...

there is gonna be the first big girls invitational event the Nine Queens in Serfaus. The worlds best girls gonna hit a beautiful castle!! It a huge jump and as well some rail obtacles. I think its gonna be amazing. Kaya Turski and Sarah Burke, both 2 times X Games Gold 2011 winners gonna be there and all the other stars from the womens skiing scene! I am really sad I won't be able to hit the castle because of my injury! But I try to join the girls in Serfaus. As well you should come by and watch them on the contest day at the 25th of march! Its gonna amazing!And there is a downdays party as well on the 25th! So don't miss it! :-)

well, what should I say about that...as fast and good the season started, it had an end last thursday while the training at the Euro Open in Laax. I can't even tell how or why.... maybe it was the start of the flat light and I didn't see the landing early enough...but it went just so fast and my knee just didn't hold it! I am really sad especially because I was in top form and ready to go to the X Games to Tignes and to the Nine Queens to Serfaus. Well now I gonna put all my energy into the reha and hope all goes good with the surgery on wednesday!

Ok I got home from the Roxy Shoot in Chamonix just now and finally have time to think about writing a blog about incredible India :-)
Caja Schöpf and me went to India, Kashmir to explore something new and exotic and finally organised our girls only trip. We were really sad that Eva Patscheider couldn't join us. (But good to see you're getting back into the game Eva!)
I don't want to talk to much because there is too much to tell about the trip to fit it into a blog. There gonna be some stories in different magazines soon....so watch out.

I just wanna say it was an amazing trip, even though we were a little unlucky with the weather. Just the whole country, the local people, the mountain, the other guests in our hotel, the staff just the whole atmosphere was really different to a normal ski trip. (I felt like on a surf trip....just skiing :-)) We had basically no internet connection and our mobile phones were not working. So it was pretty much back to basic and really nice to talk to so many people, get to know so many people with nice stories.
thats pretty much what the conclusion was or is for me without telling every story! They will follow !

Austrian Freeski Open 2011

hey, there is me again.... well I was gone in India, Kashmir with almost no connection to the world outside;-) so a blog from there will follow. But as it all goes really fast I came back monday, went to Kaprun wednesday morning and competed yesterday! Caja and me still sick from India weren't feeling so good. My training was the worst ever... I didn't do anything and crashed. Well but then I somehow managed to really focuse on my run and my tricks I wanted to do and it worked out! I stombed my first run really clean and had my crabs. And now yeah I am really happy it worked out and I finally made it on top of the podium at the Austrian Freeski Open. :-)

Worldchamps 2011 Park City

Hey everybody
I just got back from Park City from the first Freeski Worldchampionships. For me it didn't go so good. After two days training with really difficult wind conditions we had the quali on wednesday morning. We went up to the course at 7 30 and it was freezing cold, around -20 degrees. I couldn't feel it on that day and crashed in both of my runs. It was sad because I would have loved to compete on thursday in the finals, as it was a good competition with better conditions than in training and a really good level of all the girls. Congrats to Anna Segal , the first Slopestyle Worldchampion!
Here are a few pics of the regular park in Park City and our trip home via chicago, where a big blizzard just passed by....lucky us!!
I have a pretty tight schedule coming up so watch out and follow my blog! pretty exciting stuff I tell you! ;-))

hey everyone I had a really good week of skiing. I had 4 days of really good park riding in Mayrhofen with spring conditions. The landings where soft and the weather perfect. Then after one day of bad weather and resting at home and organising our girls trip with Caja Schöpf, I had my first powder day today. It was awesome we picked the only 3 hours of nice weather this morning and it was deep!! The snow was really dry and light! Soo much fun! I hope for some more snow and then hopefully some shooting days! :-) wuhhh its winter again!

no words for this.... my little holiday was amazing thanks to the crew! Now I am back in the ski game....even more motivated for the upcoming weeks with training, filming and then the Worldchampionships in Deer Valley, Utah beginning of february:-) Its really starting now and the whole season is gonna be pretty exciting so please follow my blog. A skiing edit is coming soon, as its spring time in the Alps right now its pretty good weather and nice tempretures to shred the park....so watch out and enjoy the little surf edit from Marocco!

we are spending our last days here in Breckenridge and I collected my shots from the time I spent here. Unfortunately there is not much of skiing action in it... ! Well I hope I am back on the jumps when I get home and my heel is better then. But it was already better today and I got to shred a little bit in Breck and watch the prelimes of the Mens Slopestyle.

ok, so as I am not really able to Ski with my still bruised heel and also because I always wanted to do it over here in Colorado, I went horseback riding with Caja and the Romani sisters. It was a lot of fun and lucky as we are we just got back over the vail pass before it closed due to the weather. A lot of trucks got stucked and I think we made it just 10 min before they closed the pass. So now we are back, tired on the couch ...happy about our day!

Dusty was a good horse...:-)

hey,
so I am just trying to stay awake a little longer to fight the jetlag. Paddy me and Fabio went to keystone today. It was a little bit of a slow start today ( forgot my google , my pass didn't work straight away after buying it and fabio and me got lost on the way to the park :-)). But at the end it turned out to be an amazing day. Nice weather, cold.... but sick park... and invitation of the british guys who live next to us for thanksgiving turkey.... thank you !!!!:-)

Hey everyone,

I had a pretty good week skiing. First powder , then an awesome day in Hintertux jumping the medium line and getting back into the game, and today I went jibbing with Caja Schöpf, Korbi Resenberger, Dani Schießl, Andi Wittmann and Fabio Studer. We went to the mini shred at the Kaunertal glacier which was awesome fun.

And how it is always with having fun....nobody wants to film or anything. So all I got are some shots with my iphone from today!
